New Delhi: Leading cement firm JK Cement will organise a three-day Yadupati Singhania Children’s International conference on United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals from 19 at Gotan in Rajasthan.
The company would showcase the various development work it has done in this region.
BJP’s MP Meenakshi Lekhi and Vinai Kumar Saxena, Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission are expected to attend this conference among other national and international dignitaries.
Yadupati Singhania, CMD, JK Cement, said, “The conference at Gotan is part of the JK Cement’s stated agenda of giving back to the society and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals as put forth by the UN.”
“JK Cement’s journey of growth is interminably entwined with the transformation of the trans-Gotan area, as the plant at Gotan is one of our biggest manufacturing facilities. It gives me great pleasure to see the growth in the region,” he added.
A Coffee Table Book will be launched at the event highlighting individual stories of transformation in Gotan.
JK Cement is one of the top ten producers of cement in India.
It has grey cement plants in Nimbahera, Mangrol and Gotan, Rajasthan and in Muddapur, Karnataka with a combined capacity of 7.5 million tonnes per annum.
It also produces white cement and has manufacturing capacity of 0.6 million tonnes per annum.
