New Delhi: State-run power giant NTPC has spent a whopping Rs 1,011.15 crore in the last three financial years through March 2018.
The Maharatna company NTPC had allocated Rs 798.25 crore of finacial years 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18.
As per the data available on the website of the company, NTPC’s CSR spend was Rs 241.54 crore during the fiscal ending March 2018 as against the allocation of Rs 220.75 crore for the full year.
The company had also exceeded the budgeted fund towards corporate social responsibilities during 2016-17 and 2015-16.
It had spent Rs 277.81 crore in 2016-17 against the allcoation of Rs 227.85 crore. Similarly, it spent Rs 491.8 crore during 2015-16 while the earmarked fund was only Rs 349.65 crore.
